The Original Providers
of Agricultural Lime in
South Africa
H. Pistorius & Kie has played a significant role in shaping agricultural lime regulations in South Africa. Our initiatives led to the crucial requirement that all agricultural lime registrations must display a resin analysis.
This analysis, referring to ENVIS (Effective Neutralization Visible In Soil), highlights the issue of certain agricultural limes falsely appearing effective in traditional strong acid tests while dissolving poorly in actual soil conditions.
H. Pistorius & Kie actively contributes to lime research. Our strategically located lime resources in South Africa primarily serve Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Kwa-Zulu Natal, and the Eastern Free State.
